I also think some type of extrude along line command would be incredibly usefull. you could define a path, then select a profile to extrude along that path. I could make hand rails, and other fluid element much easier to model in a more accurate way.

My work, furniture design, involves at lot of edge profilies, mouldings and such. I'd be thrilled if VW had the ability to wrap a defined cross section profile around a selected polygon. As it is now, I either use 'subtract solids' techniques or I extrude profiles and then 'cut' them to length. Cumbersome. I look forward to any and all responses.

Thank you for your suggestion. We here at Nemetschek North America are always attentive to customer suggestions. Over the years the bulk of all improvements to the MiniCad and VectorWorks programs have come from customer requests.

This will be entered into our wish list and evaluated by our design team as a potential enhancement for the future.
