Cristiano Alves
After making some weight calculations on Braceworks, all hosts were on a spreadsheet but didn't sorted by ID I tried to find a way to sort the information but don't watch a sort function. How can I make it? Edited March 29, 2023 by Cristiano Alves Quote Link to comment
Chris J Clarke
I know it's been a while since you asked, but I also asked this question on a tech support call last week. They got back to me and said I had to export the data from the Worksheet in VW to Excel, and then copy it back again once I'd sorted it by Hoist ID. 1 Quote Link to comment

Can you make a video step by step, please? Edited September 20, 2023 by Cristiano Alves Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted September 20, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 20, 2023 You can do this in a normal Vectorworks database report use the create report command, set the criteria to hoist objectand use hoist ID as the first column. In the column options their is a sort setting, choose either ascending or descending depending on your requirements. You can also do this in the report after creation by clicking on the columns database header. Note you will need to use a numbering/naming scheme that enables you to sort the hoists but otherwise this should not require exporting the report to excel. Also you can make multi level sorts on a database report based on multiple columns sort settings, The top level sort is from the first column you assign a sort order to, the second comes form the next column you add a sort to, etc...
