upgrade to XP professional = V10.01 won't run

I just upgraded to XP Pro (old machine DOA one morning). I tryed to load VW 10.01 from CD but it does not run. I bet I will need current drivers. However, I can't seem to find them on any of the download pages.

Do you get an error message when you try to install from the CD?

10.5.1 installs and runs with no problem on XP Pro.

You could download the 17-step update to that (or used to you could, it's hard to say what's on the NNA web site now), or just ask them to send you a CD.

Do you dock palettes? If not, beware: with 10.5.1 you'll have to put up with those obnoxious palettes that either open hysterically whenever your cursor passes over them, or else stay open all the time. If you do the stepped update, you might get to one that works on XP but still has the old roller-shade palettes. It's not really 17 steps, but it's a lot. If you go all the way up, you'll definitely get tired of installing.
