Home Screen (Mac): Un-grey File/Open Recent

When only the Home screen is open - the File/Open Recent menu items are greyed out. I find myself stalled here often. Please bring back the Open Recent menu, thanks!

The same files as show in the Open Recent menu in VW should be showing directly in the Recent area of the Home Screen.

This has been bugging me a bit too - the reason being that when the "recent" area of the homescreen is set out as a grid, many of the file names are truncated.

It's better if you change them to list view.

I understand this - but for many many many years, my workflow is to go to the open recent menu... when I go there and it is greyed out, I kinda panic 🙂

You can also turn off the Home Screen entirely if you want in VW Preferences.

I have no files showing in the 2025 Home Screen Recent Files  - but 20 are listed in the File>Open Recent Menu

Is there a way to get them on the Home Screen without a complete Reset of the Preferences?

I just realized the Home Screen is nicer to manage.....

Trying to find an old thread on this.

There is a previous commitment* do remove modal dialogues from Vectorworks generally truely unless needed and the Home Screen would not block other interface elements after that.
