Open GL active Rendering on Mac

Ivan

Question

I just looked at your answer to "How do I keep my object rendered when rotating the view" and yes setting the detail and alwalys sliders in Preferances affects the results,BUT, to keep the view rendered the Layers setting MUST be set to 'Active Only, or Gray Others' Then you can rotate your objects and view them as they move.

This means that the drawing structure is confined by your need to rotate the objects. Or set up a linked layer. What has changed in the new version, and is not appreciated, is that the light symbols now do not show when you start to adjust them. I want the visual guide of the angle and direction to set up lights. I learned lighting from photography and set the stage as I would a product shot. Not having the light symbol show leaves lots of guess work and trial and error.

Set layers to Active Only and roate away.
