cberg
Is there any way to adjust the graphic legend cell sort order so that it reads as I have marked up in red/yellow? If you make the legend one row, the cells sort left to right. If you make the legend two rows, the cells sort top to bottom; then left to right. To my eyes, that feels rather odd. Maybe there is a dialogue box somewhere. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
With a Graphic Legend that is set up similar to yours and sorted Ascending by Style name I get exactly the order you say you want. Check your Graphic Legend Style and set the Arrange Layout by Row. I bet it is set to Column now. HTH 1 Quote Link to comment
cberg
Thanks Pat. I had set the "Arrange Layout by Row" parameter by instance, and for whatever reason, it did not show up correctly. However when I set the "Arrange Layout By Row" parameter by the Style for the Legend, it somehow made everything show up correctly. Quote Link to comment
cberg
The other thing that drives me crazy about graphic legends, is that when you make a global change to graphic legends, all your annotations disappear. Thankfully I have them all copied to a seed file. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Please explain that last point more clearly. I don't understand. Quote Link to comment
cberg
I add notes in the graphic legend. Like one would add viewport annotations. If you make a global change to the graphic image layout. Or even change the sort order of the cells like we were discussing. Then the annotations disappear when you recalculate. After losing my annotations many times, I now copy and paste from a separate seed file. Edited February 4, 2023 by cberg 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee EJKerr Posted February 13, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 13, 2023 Hi @cberg Could you create a bug and attach a Vectorworks document where you have seen the annotations disappear? Can you also indicate the frequency at which this happens? Quote Link to comment
