vwa 10.0.1 quitting

I am using vwa 10.0.1 on mac os 9.2 and I am having problems with vw quitting 2-5 times a day. Any suggestions?

What type of error message are you getting?

If I remember correctly, a TYPE 2 error is memory related. Try allocating more RAM to VW, but make sure to leave enough for the system as it is used for lots of stuff while running VW. Peter

Thanks, hopefully this solves it. I hadn't changed the memory settings since I loaded vw 10.

I've had the same problem, but I'm on a 933 Mhz Pentium III/512 Mb ram runnming Win 2000 professional. What's even more disturbing is that even on relatively small 2d drawings (less than 2mb) I'm having to wait 10 seconds for edit handles to appear after selecting objects, 10 seconds for objects to appear where I've moved them... I upgraded from 8.5.2, and never had these problems before. I'm about ready to uninstall it and send it back.

An error type 2 is memory related or an extension conflict.

Adjust the memory allocated to the VW application first (that's easier).

If the problem still exists, you may have an extension conflict. To resolve this, restart the computer using OS 9.2 base extensions. Does the error still crop up?

If not, then one of the extensions that was running with your extension set is conflicting. It could be as simple as duplicate extensions.
