Referenced objects do not show their 2d/hybrid geometry...

I have had issues with referenced DLVPs only showing the 3D geometry in the target file + not the 2D (Top/Plan) geometry. Not sure if that's what you're describing @grant_PD. I had to start again + make sure the source file was saved in Top/Plan view when creating the DLVP + hopefully I end up with a 'Y' in the '2D' column in the Viewports tab, Organisation palette. I posted about this elsewhere. It can't be right...

I've found that you just need the file you are referencing symbols into needs to be in Top/Plan view.

I.e. Go to Top/Plan view, then reference the symbol into the model space with a viewport. That give both 2D and 3D information.

- Perhaps this is what grant_PD was saying, but  I read it a little differently.

 

Strange you have to do that but it seems to work.
