matteoluigi
Hi, the does the Project Sharing Server as Docker Image run on Intel or ARM machines or do there exist binaries for both CPU Architectures? (maybe you have an idea: @Hugues ) Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tolu Posted January 9, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 9, 2023 A docker image is not architecture-specific. However, you have to install the right Docker Desktop for your machine (Intel or Arm) based on your OS and Machine. Having said that, our docker images are tested for Synology NAS devices. On which type of machine are you planning to run docker? Quote Link to comment
matteoluigi
Afaik it will be a Synology DS1821+ with an AMD Ryzen V1500B CPU. So everythin intel. RLM doesn't exist as docker image, right? Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tolu Posted January 10, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 10, 2023 I am not familiar with Reprise License Manager Quote Link to comment
matteoluigi
@Toluwho might know a little bit more? running a VW license Server on a NAS could be a good opportunity for small clients. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Kamen Kitanov Posted January 12, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 12, 2023 No, we do not provide a docker image for RLM. Quote Link to comment
matteoluigi
@Kamen Kitanov then you can consider this as a wish/feature request. Afaik Reprise does support docker images as well. I can't imagine that implementing RLM for docker would be a big issue. Quote Link to comment
matteoluigi
@Tolu tried to run the ps docker image on my raspberry pi 3. I got the error message: WARNING: The requested image's platform (linux/amd64) does not match the detected host platform (linux/arm/v7) and no specific platform was requested c858c247419c43bb64abf944abf428f8a713298e52ebea520b4f40c75026a81c Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tolu Posted February 7, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 7, 2023 Our docker image only supports linux/amd64 as the message indicates. We are using a Debian:buster-slim. Quote Link to comment

Portainer for example works perfectly. So it must be the image which only works in a x86/x64 environment. and, which makes me wonder is, that on hub.docker.com there is written to every image for which architecture it is appropriate. matteoluigi
@Tolu would it be a problem, building an ARM image as well? 😉 Quote Link to comment
