Drawing title missing

I have created a viewport but my drawing title/number is missing. It is shown in the OIP but not on my sheet layer? 

Also all my classes are turned on and my drawing title is visible on section viewports

Have you placed a Drawling Label object in the Viewport Annotations?

I have but its just showing up as small 'x's

How did you create the viewport?

 

If you select the viewport and click the Classes button in the Object Info Palette (OIP), what classes have the first column (visible) checked?

 

Can you post the file or at least a screen shot including the OIP?

So I placed a rectangle over my floor plan and created a viewport fromthat, but I did it without the rectangle too and the same thing happened?

I think what is happening is that you have gotten the Create Drawing Label check box unchecked.

 

You should be able to just place a Drawing Label object (from the Dims/Notes tool set) into the Annotations group of the viewport and it should show. You may need to choose the Style for the Drawing Label to get it to match the other objects.
