StagehandPv
I work solely in vwx, and only ever import DWGs (thus far). What is the go to program (Windows) for viewing / editing DWG's in their natural file type? I'm running into problematic venue DWG's, and would like to see them without the import process frustration. Also looking to check exported DWG's for accuracy when submitting drawings back to venues. Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted December 17, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 17, 2022 Autodesk have a free web based viewer. I used to use other viewers to check exports from Vectorworks but found these differed from AutoCAD. Use the web viewer. 1 Quote Link to comment

aheininen
Another option is to use DWG TrueView from Autodesk: https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg-trueview/overview. It is "dwg viewer" program. To my knowledge it uses same bits as AutoCad, it is only a reduced version for viewing purposes. You can change visibilities and measure things but you can't modify contents or save files. It does not need account and you don't need to send files to Autodesk's servers. 1 Quote Link to comment
JeroenS.
I can really recommend pCon Planner. Opens and handles the most heavy .DWG and .SKP documents you can find.https://pcon-planner.com/ It's feature rich with options such as purging or exporting to other document types. There's a free download on the site. 1 Quote Link to comment
