VW2023. Drop down menus do not work

Hi all

 

Just wondering if this is just happening to me.  I am using VW 2023 on a 2020 MacBook Pro.

 

I am finding that the drop down menus do not work on opening a file which is very handicapping. The tools work fine but not the menus. The drop downs work on the Finder and on other programs even though  they are not working in VW.

 

Quitting and restarting VW only fixes fix it sometimes. Restarting the computer only fixes it sometimes. Copying the file to another computer worked on one occasion but that computer is now too slow for VW however, when I copied the file  back to my laptop, the drop down menus worked. I cannot see a pattern in when it does not work and it happens on all files large or small. I have also checked for latest updates etc and the MacOS system is up to date and I have run the VW repair program. 

 

Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Not sure if it is the same issue, but we experienced unresponsive menus with previous VW and Os versions on Macbook Pro and this how we solved it:

hi, i'm having the same problem.  my pull down menus don't work and even when i restart the computer, they still don't work.  im in the us. thanks, da

Same issue here, and I've previously reported it.  Intermittent fault (the worst kind of fault).  On SP4 now.  Tried to update to SP5 just now, but the top pull-downs are unresponsive.
