techdef
Trying to make a skin from other's lines. 15 of the 16 parts = 1 NURBS surface. Add in the 16th one and it makes a group of 6 NURBS that won't join/combine for love or money. Any hot tips? Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Can you post the NURBS? Or screen shots? Some combos never resolve to a single surface. But, some easy things to check: all curves same direction. loft order. Try reverse. rubber band clicks to corresponding point on each curve. Try lofting from other ends. similar vertex count on all curves. if acceptable, sometimes a trace of the problem curve can replace the orig for the loft. is the Surface fro Curves command any help here? Good luck! -B Quote Link to comment
Claes Lundstrom
It's not 16 curves as such. It does indeed work If you make one simple curve and duplicate it using Duplicate Array. So the shape is most likely the key here. I think the underlying 3D engine simply thinks your shape is too complicated to work, for example overlapping itself or something like that. 1 Quote Link to comment
