Vision 23 not working

Hi everyone,

 

I have used Vision in the past with great success, but Vision 2023 does not seem to work at all. I have installed Vision 23 on three different computers, two very robust desktops and a gaming laptop. Two of these computers have run Vision 2022 successfully in the past. My workstation at home will only run Vision in "safe mode" and despite having a high end processor, graphics card, and 32GB of ram, if I up the resolution at all, it crashes. My laptop has run Vision 2022 fine, it will not even launch the program. It just starts to launch, then hangs. My work computer launches and runs Vision, but not well. Also a powerful workstation. I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have updated fixture libraries. Has anyone else had this experience. I would understand if it was one computer, but it is three.

I would recommend you contact tech support directly. We will need to detailed machine specifications and the crash logs in order to diagnose the issue or reproduce the problem. There may be something else running on your machines that is causing issues with Vision.

Even on a low end machine you should be able to open the smaller demo files included with Vision and playback the pre-recorded dmx.

There were no significant increases in hardware requirements between 2022 and 2023.
