Attributes Pallet - 2023

Why on earth did the brains at VWX decide that the Attributes Pallet needed changing in 2023?. 

One of the most useful things was the eye dropper tool and the ability to capture a colour from a corporate logo (or other required source) and store it.

It wasn't broken. it worked just fine.

 

Anyone know if it's possible to restore the 2022 pallet?

It is not possible to restore the previous version, but an even better version of the eyedropper is available on the Custom pane.  It will let you pick color from anywhere in the computer, not just inside VW windows.

I guess @Hamois a Mac user, just like me. Mac users had the Mac OS color system for years. The Windows color system has always been far less complete. Now Vectorworks gave all the Mac OS color system advantages to the Windows users also. Mac users didn't loose anything, they just need to change some of their habits.

I don’t feel that is accurate….
 

This company needs to stop “fixing” things that aren’t broke.  Instead of changing user interfaces and color pickers, how about stacked walls, fixing site model contour labeling, or fixing any number of half baked “features” that have remained incomplete for years.

Piling on with Hamo - 15+ year user and just updated to 2023 because no choice.... aaaand no more color wheel. Seriously wt$%$%. Please stop removing useful and legacy features that long time users are accustomed to in our workflow!!

This is the Apple Color Swatch.

 

VW, like many CAD and 3D Software use its ow Color Tool.

Not really a color wheel, but a linear color field ....
