changing plant from styled to unstyled

I have a problem that I cannot find a fix for.

The tag section is greyed out

 

I have read this as a fix

 

However, I cannot see how to edit it in a way that fixes it and cannot find how to change it to unstyled.

The Style of a Plant is show in the OIP (Object Info Palette), near the top. Click on the current Style and you will get options to Replace the Style, Edit the Style, or Convert to Unstyled.

 

You might want to Edit the Style and change the tag information to by Instance instead of by Style. In the Style Edit dialog box, click on the icon in front of the item and it will toggle between one that look like a curved arrow (meaning By Style) and one that looks like three sliders (meaning that parameter can be set By Instance.)
