Dean
I'm looking to render a liquid within a glass or jar such that the thickness of the glass is apparent. When I use a rendered object (say, honey or beer) within a rendered glass container, the interior object, seems to be wrapped around the outside of the glass container rather than inside it. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Use a NURBS cylinder for your liquid and assign it the necessary texture properties using a combo of transparency effects. Then place it inside of the glass container via a Layer Link. Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
You should take a look at the refraction value of your glass texture. Given that the 'liquid' is in fact modelled to fit inside a glass with a thickness, I think this could be the cause of your problem. Try setting the refraction value to zero. If this fixes the appearance, you can try increasing the refraction to a point, where it looks right. Quote Link to comment
Dean
I think a big part of the problem was that I was using Fast RenderWorks rather than Final Quality which seems to show me what I'm looking for. Thank you for your suggestions. Quote Link to comment
