Does anyone use "Edit Section In-Place" successfully?

I loved the idea of being able to edit Sections & Elevations "In-Place" when the feature was added to Viewports a number of years ago. But it rarely turns out to be a reliable function for me, as it shows incorrect or wonky geometry about half the time, and outright crashes about 25% of the time.

 

Curious if others have similar experiences...

I use it all the time. I used to have problems, until I learnt that you should use right-click and not double-click.

I like Edit Section In Place + use it a lot but generally only as a quick way to access PIOs (Walls, Slabs, Roofs, etc) to edit their settings.

I wonder if it's because of the custom geometry and imported meshes that tend to be in many of my models. It probably works better with stock Walls, Window, Doors, etc.

When it first came out I found the edit section in place was very slow.  I've since had a major computer upgrade,  and we are several versions down the road.   I now use it all the time.

I use it but it needs a lot of computing power.
