poesy
Question 1. Can I render the interiors of a room in white with just VW or Architect? I do not have RenderWorks. Question 2. How do I make glass window or door symbols translucent to light? When I do a 3D view, my windows are opaque and are as grey/brown as the walls. I am new and am learning how to use VW first before I buy RenderWorks as I was told that some basic rendering was possible with the VW or Architect. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
You will be rendering with OpenGL and should be pleasantly surprised. Transparency requires a 'Glass Texture' and the Glazing Style set to the Glass texture. Quote Link to comment
poesy
Thanks islandmon! I have tried this with the default window and door symbols in the VW Architect's Sampler several times for the last fortnight but nothing seem to work. Even copied all the settings of the same symbols from the Training CD. And yes, I have seen renderings done without RenderWorks and feel that it would suffice for my presentations. Would like to know exactly how to maximise that. Will attempt it again. If anyone could give me a step-by-step, I would most appreciate it! Quote Link to comment
poesy
I think it didn't work because the original drawing was created on VW10.5. Does that make any sense? Thanks for your tip! Quote Link to comment
