Santino Di Renzo
I am not sure this is the right place to post this but I am curious about the new Artlantis R. Is it woth it to buy it? I use the Artlantis 4.5 and it is so unsatisfying. thank you Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
Just as an aside, can you give me the pros and cons of Artlantis in your opinion? I've often looked at that program as a possible add-on but have yet to consider purchasing it. Are the renderings better quality than VW? Faster? Are there more features to manipulate when rendering/texturing? Quote Link to comment
Santino Di Renzo
I have been using ARTLANTIS for over 3 years. PROS: 1-simple tools 2-fast preview (real time) I handle models of over 4 millions objects 3-integrated with vectorwoks as plug in (I use classes to assign materials) CONS: 1-poor image mapping 2-poor interface, I prefer dial box to sliders for precise adjustments 3-obsure mother company muy choice to use it was mainly as an alternative to renderworks which back thenwas so slow. Peter van der Elst
Try the demo from their site. You need to register. I tried it with exports from VW and it looks good. Still haven't had much time to try everything. Maybe next week! Regards, Peter Quote Link to comment
