VL5LED
Don't know if this is possible and I have missed it already, but is it possible to delete a socket from a device in the socket editor? If not, I would love for this feature to exist it would help a lot in my world (custom media servers that have components added/subtracted frequently) Thanks in advance 🙂 Quote Link to comment

Also, which is the socket editor? Do you mean the device builder or is it the Edit Socket dialog? Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov Quote Link to comment
VL5LED
Hi, 2023 I believe the edit socket dialogue. The one that is new in 2023 that allows you to quickly edit them (already a great new feature, just wondering if it is possible to delete them like that as well). Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted November 21, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 21, 2022 Hello @VL5LED, Currently it is not possible to delete sockets from the edit socket dialog. However, your feedback is appreciated and I will create an enhancement request for it, so that we can consider it. Thanks, Nikolay Zhelyazkov Quote Link to comment

FKA
Hello, I found this post and realized that the suggestion is now available so, I thought you may like another suggestion for that "EDIT SOCKET" dialog. It would be great to be able to edit the custom parameters of the selected socket, ie "user5" that could be the resolution of a signal @ this port, or to add a VLAN ID of a network port. That way it would be much easier to feed the sockets with the needed information. Thanks for your great support. Florian Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted November 1, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 1, 2023 Hello @FKA, Thanks for the feedback! I have added this to our database so that we can consider it. In the meantime, you can use worksheets for quick socket data editing, without the need to enter the device.
