Door Tags are not in sequence in Worksheet

How can I fix the wacky sequence? Sorting Ascending both the A and B columns shows this. Thanks.

VW does sequential sorting, so depending on what you sorted first, it will use that as the primary sorting element. Unsort everything first, and then sort column a first, then column b. I think that should be able to work.

It doesn't work. I decided to eliminate the suffix and start numbering from 101... on the first floor, 201... on the second floor and so forth.

@Samuel Derenboim I think you got it backwards.

 

You need to Sort on Column B first to put everything into numerical order, then sort by Column A to split them into groups.

It didn't work... Column B should be Sort: None. Then it works.

 

Now it does work. 🥵

I am also getting wacky results when using tags on doors and applying them to selected objets. I eventually had to do them one at a time.

Have you checked all the settings in the DATA TAGs insertion points?? Sometimes it might have some random value there that when you place them does this kind of behaviour?

Thanks for the comment. I jumped from VWs 2017 to 2022 and did not try tags before. I found them confusing at first, but now I see their time-saving capability. I'll check on your suggestion.

Experiment with the tool, as it's quite powerful, I use it for doors, windows and walls... But it has so much more potential!
