Olivier De Kegel
Hi, I am trying to export a 3D 2022 vwx drawing as 2022 dwg file, but the best result I am getting is a rendered version of the isometric view, but no cad drawing in 3D. I have tried to export from top, front and left isometric, unsuccessfully. Any guidance will help, thank you. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nina Ivanova Posted October 14, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 14, 2022 @Olivier De Kegel, preferred way to export the 3D model is to start DWG export from a design layer, Top view. Check that the export option to flatten the drawing is set to OFF. If this still does not give you the expected results, please, send the Vectorworks document and used export options to me. Hmmh, .... I always exported 3D files from an Iso or 3D Ortho view. Even all my Pre Export Saved Views have a 3D View set, so that I can better control what I will export. What could be the things that might go wrong if I export in this manner ? Edited October 14, 2022 by zoomer 1 Quote Link to comment
EAlexander
I always do it from an iso view as well. I usually blow apart all my hybrid symbols to just 3d before doing this (in a temporary copy of the file). Do I need to do this still? Edited October 14, 2022 by EAlexander 1 Quote Link to comment
