Strange Appearance

I have just downloaded Vectorworks 2023 as a student. I worked in practice last year that used the 2021 version. I have checked via tools > workspaces > architect and i am on the correct workspace. The appearance of the 2023 vectorworks seems very different, bold text and basic icons, as if its an old program. Is this normal for 2023 or the student version? or is there a way i can change this?

That looks correct to me.

 

Perhaps you are used to the Architect-BIM workspace?

If you’re wanting to change the appearance of the Tool Sets from just Icons, you can change that in the settings:
