Window appearance in top/plan view 2023

SGSF 42

Question

Hello

I can't seem to control the appearance of my window in wall in VW 2023

The attached screenshot shows the window with details on (above) and off.

With details on, the jamb lines are missing.

With details off, the jamb lines are missing and the window looks nothing like a window...

Any ideas?

The missing lines of the window frame might actually be works as designed (yeah, I know 🤷🏼‍♂️). For the end of the windows, have you got Full Break with Caps set in the object info palette for the window?

I don't even know how to replicate this:

The wall caps turned off in the window opening. Is this what you mean by 'jamb lines' @SGSF 42?

I can't either. It's the Wall's Pen attribute, but it should turn off when window is set to "Full break without caps". Might be bug to do with wall closures. Although I have a distant memory of this in the past also.

There are actually three levels of detail for Windows.

The first image you show is Medium detail and the second is Low.

High Detail shows a double line for glazing and the sill line beyond.

Medium Detail shows as in your screenshot.

Low Detail shows as a single line.

That said, the Low detail graphics are obvious incorrect in your screenshot.  This looks like a bug.  Can you attach a file with that wall and window in it?

I always get some variation of the kind of thing with low detail Matt. I'll post a bug report with some files.
