Replace Hoist Workflow

Hello,

 

I have just made a set of hoists in our library to match our company standards. Quite often in the lifespan of a rigging plot, it's necessary to swap hoists to a different type (ie availability). However, I can't see any easy way to, say, select all 5 hoists on the LED screen truss and replace a '1T Video Down' with '1.6T Video Down'. All I can see is to manually redraw them, but this looses all of the user-inputted data (ie Hoist ID and other bits) for those hoists.

 

Is there an equivalent to the 'Replace Lighting Device...' hidden somewhere? If not, can I put it in as a feature request please? Having done probably thousands of rigging plots, I can say that this is a feature that would be used *a lot*.

With the new hoist you can use the "Select Symbol" Button in the OIP.

If these hoists are legacy vectorscript Hoists they can be upgraded with the command: Tools->Utility->Convert Old hoists.

Ah perfect thanks! I thought that would just replace the visual representation with that of another symbol, but does indeed do what I want. Thanks!
