ChollyO
I'm having an issue with the visibility of fixture beams when viewing a shaded render mode. I have a number of uplight lighting fixtures, in this case Chauvet Well Fits, splashing light on a number of column extrudes on my drawing. With one set of fixtures, the beams are showing up fine, shown below: Same set of fixture types, added the same way, on different columns, no beams are visible, shown below: Side by side comparison: I have all of the fixtures turned on in the Visualizer, shown below: Any idea of what is happening here and why I'm not seeing all the beams? It should be noted that this drawing is in a very basic basic stage, that I've only just started, so don't poo poo me! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVH Posted September 23, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 23, 2022 It looks like you are using VW2022 from your signature. If that is correct and you are using the Shaded mode for rendering there is an eight light limit for beam visibility so only eight beams will be rendered. Quote Link to comment
ChollyO
Actually, I have updated to VW2023, I just had not updated my signature yet. Corrected that. Are there differences in VW 2023 that allow for additional beams to be shown beyond the eight? What render mode should I be in to get the most amount of beams? Thanks for the help Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee JustinVH Posted September 26, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 26, 2022 @ChollyO You will need to go into Document Preferences and turn off the 8 light limit for Shaded rendering. Once you do that you should be able to see all the lights in either Shaded or FQR. 1 Quote Link to comment
