Separate Default 3D View Projection setting for plan and elevation views

Thank you  @Christiaan

This is very important for anyone doing any 3D modeling.

The inability to do a 3D typical "four-up" with Top, Front, Side, and Perspective hamper VW's utility as a modeling software.

Top, Front, Side need to be Orthographic to accurately model.

'Flyover' in Perspective is more natural and helps in finding areas that need to be adjusted for visual/proportional reasons.

Unless I’m misunderstanding you, VWX is already doing this correctly with multi view.  Recent example here:

one of my favorite features is the seamless behavior between orthographic and perspective views, as it makes push pull really easy relative to other features in a model.

@ChristiaanThis request is a good one, it’s a bit silly having to change the projection back to orthographic when revisiting top and side views from a perspective view.  A user preference would be helpful towards getting things to behave.

@jeff prince you're right!

When I first got VW downloaded it seemed that all view panes used the same perspective... frustrated me so much I never tried it again.

I came from Rhino, I couldn't imagine modeling without this feature.  I frequently use two view panes to look in plan and perspective or look at two different plan areas of large projects at the same time.

In 3DSMax, Microstation, Modo, C4D, ....

I always worked in 4 Pane View only. 3 Orthos and an Isometric or Perspective.

And I felt so limited with that single View Pane in Archicad or Vectorworks and

criticized that heavily.

But when I learned about the Num number keys in VW,

I soon realized how fast, intuitive! and comfortable I can switch between

Views in VW, I got used to it pretty fast.

So that when multi pane views were released I just tried that for a while

but soon neglected it again.

3D Apps like Modo or C4D allow to quickly switch to a full screen view

from one of the 4 panes and back, so this is nearly as comfortable to

switch between views.

But for VW I also always asked for that preselection, to keep all

side views in Ortho Mode 2/4/6/8 (and usually Wireframe Mode),

no matter  how "shaded" or "perspective" my Isometrics 1/3/7/9

are set.

When I seldom need look at two different plan areas of large projects

at the same time, I think multi pane views is the way to go and I am

happy that VW now has that option.

@zoomer - The issue I have with the number keys is that they always move me to somewhere far away from the object I'm working on and it takes a lot of maneuvering to 'find' my place again. If it at least defaulted to 0,0,0 I could handle it...

That and the above thought concerning 3D projection.

As you said 2/4/6/8 should be ortho/wireframe - 1/3/7/9 should be perspective/shaded.
