MikeN
I'm considering acquiring the ATi Fire GL X2 256T video card. I've noticed that the Official ATi Application Certification list does not include Renderworks, yet it includes Nemetchek's Allplan. Do both programs use the same 'engine' for rendering and if not, is it a waste of time picking up this video card? Quote Link to comment
MikeN
PS The workstation specs in my signature are faux and I'm actually running a Dual Xeon 3ghz with 2GB Ram and a ATi desktop 128 card. Quote Link to comment
jnr
I bought the ATI T-128 and run two monitors off of it. In renderworks,it has improved rendering speeds significantly for me(I had a 32mb matrox w/o open gl for dual head). I couldn't afford the next step up. I appreciate the open GL support for dual head though. It was cheaper than the comprable NVidia cards. I've come to discover that the second monitor color gets squirrely however. I've heard that if you add a PCI card for a second monitor that you don't have this problem. But I haven't tried it yet. Quote Link to comment
