Cancelling Renderings in OSX 10.3

Recommended Posts

It will end with esc or cmd+. .

You may not see it stop immediately, because it all depends on how far the data has been processed. If the progress bar has gotten to "render" then it may not stop until it's done rendering, depending on how far the progress bar has gotten and how simple the drawing is.

If the progress bar is at "processing" you should be able to stop it almost immediately, or until the current complex computation is being completed.

The more complex drawing you have, the longer it will take to stop the rendering simply because of the complex computations that are done along the way. When you stop the rendering process, the current computation has to finish before the rendering process will be able to stop.
