Becki
Any idea why those grey boxes are showing up where the image props overlap? (v. 10.5) It seems to be only where the the same prop overlaps itself, otherwise everything would be grey because of the tree prop. It looks like it's only showing up in elevation and perspective views, I haven't had any problems with it in isometric yet. Thanks! Peter van der Elst
I have the same problem in perspective view. But in my drawings it seems that the first three or four overlappings work, then the grey boxes appear. Maybe it depends on which symbol you use. Quote Link to comment
MikeB
Try using custom renderworks with the recusion level set at 9. I have a funny feeling this is the problem Good Luck Quote Link to comment
MikeB
I just tested it and a recursion level of 4 seems to solve the problem. I also don't see the problem using the final renderworks option. The issue is with overlapping transparent objects, the lower recursion levels won't allow you to see thru all the transparent layers. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted December 15, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 15, 2003 Final Quality RW mode uses a recursion level of 5, so that explains why that mode works. Each surface will require 2 levels of recursion, one for the front side and one for the backside, so if you have 4 overlapping props you will need to set the recursion to 8. Note that the upper limit is currently 9, but we will be lifting this restriction in a future release just in case you need more. HTH, Quote Link to comment
Becki
Yup, that's what it was. I guess for the front/side views where over 4 image props line up I'll have to temporarily delete the 'hidden' ones. Thanks for the help! Quote Link to comment
