Column rendering problem

Depending on how the Column was created determines how the texture is applied.

If you use the Column Tool in the Objects palette, the texture is applied using class settings via the OIP. If you select the Column, scroll to the bottom of the OIP. You should see Shaft Finish, Base Finish and Capital Finish. Select a Style from the drop down box. This will create the assiciate class. Apply the texture to that class such as Style-1. Click on the Other Tab in the edit class dialog and plug in the texture there.

This allows you to have 3 separate textures for the 3 different components of the column.

If you created the column by drawing a polygon and selecting Column from the Model menu, you can only apply the texture to these through the Texture Tab on the OIP. You can only have one texture for the entire column.

I created the columns by drawing rectangles and then using the "column" menu command. My problem is that if you choose "class texture" instead of an individual texture, the column is rendered as a solid color with no texture. This behavior is different than with roof, wall, extrude, or floor objects, which render correctly when using "class texture". Is this a bug? Is this issue making sense?
