Geoff Grummon
I am trying to export a rendering to an image file, but every time I export it, I get a horizontal white line 1 pixel wide about 2/3 of the way down the image. I have tried different views and different file types, all with the same result. Please see http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~ggrummon/render.jpg for example. How do I get rid of this problem? Thanks, Geoff [ 04-06-2003, 10:11 PM: Message edited by: Geoff Grummon ] Quote Link to comment
Guest
What OS and version of QuickTime are you using? What version of VW are you using? Quote Link to comment
Geoff Grummon
I'm using Mac OS 10.2.4, Quicktime 6.1.1, and Vectorworks 9.5.3. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Did you have this problem before updating to QT 6.1.1.? Qt 6.1.1 is a fairly new update. QT 6.0.x. has been out for a while. . Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted April 7, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 7, 2003 Hello Geoff: This bug has been fixed in 10.1. Using 9.5.3, the only thing you can do is to generate and manually splice two separate images together so that the pixels are aligned exactly and the white line is avoided. You could do this by rendering two bitmaps using the Render Bitmap Tool instead of just the one. The rendered bitmaps may or may not display the problem. If the Rendered Bitmaps don't show this problem you could get by with rendering the entire image using the Render Bitmap Tool then exporting instead of exporting outright. HTH, Quote Link to comment
Jershaun
I am using VW 10.1 and I am still getting those lines. Mine is more random tough. Sometimes it is on the left side, sometimes on the right, sometimes on the top or bottom. What gives? Shaun Quote Link to comment
Guest
Shaun, Did you have the problem with VW 10.0.1 or 10.1 when using Qt 6.0.2? Quote Link to comment
Jershaun
Hi Katie Both with 10.0.1 and 10.1 with both 5 and 6. Thanks. Shaun Quote Link to comment
Guest
When you used QuickTime 5 - did you use it with VW 10.1? Did you remove QT 6 before installing QT 5? Quote Link to comment
Jershaun
Hi Katie I started with 10.0.1 with 5 and thereafter upgraded to 10.0.1 with 6. Now I am running 10.1 with 6. I have not tried 10.1 with 5. Thanks. Shaun Quote Link to comment
Guest
Remove QuickTime 611. Install QT 5 from the VW installation CD. Try to export the image in VW 10.1 to see if you still have the problem. If you don't, then there is a problem between QT 6.1.1 and VW 10.1 that forces the problem to crop back up. Quote Link to comment
Jershaun
Hi Katie I have now tried 10.1 with 5 and still get these white edges. I have tried three images and two have them at the bottom and one has it on the right. Thanks. Shaun Quote Link to comment
