  1. Another request regarding Section Lines which will probably attract as much interest as this one! I would like to be able to select whether the extents beyond the cut plane for a Section Viewport are Infinite or Finite Depth from the Section-Elevation Line for that viewport. When I want a section VP to display geometry beyond the cut plane I often don't consider whether the depth of the extents should be infinite or finite until after I've created it. Most of the time whichever setting it was created with is fine + doesn't need changing. However if I do want to change (for example) the depth from infinite to finite after the fact I would like to be able to do it from the section line for that VP, instead of from the 'Advanced Section Properties' dialog for the VP. Setting a finite depth is often best done interactively with the section line (using the dashed extents box) + indeed selecting a section line to see whether it has this box or not is a quick + easy way to tell whether that VP's depth is set to finite or infinite. However, what's missing is the ability, within the OIP for a section line, to toggle between 'finite' + 'infinite'. It is currently too many clicks to navigate to the VP from the section line, open the Advanced Properties, go to the Extents tab, change the setting, exit Advanced Properties, go back to the section line...
  2. We need to be able to create Section Viewports by bending section lines rather than stepping them. Stepped section lines make for some very messy sections on some building shapes.
  3. 'm working on VW2019 and sections are showing components of walls which classes are turned off: Class A-Wall-D turned off: Class A-Wall-D turned on: This is how it looks editing In Place: I can see the wall, but I can't select it, it is just like a ghost. The same happens in elevations, if the section line cuts through wall or other objects with a class that is turned off. It started happening just very recently, I had to reinstall Vectorworks because of some issues, I'm not sure if the timing mach, but it didn't happen before. I'm not sure if I'm missing some properties or it is a glitch. Thank you! LC
  4. Just upgraded from V14 to V19. In section viewports, I used to be able to create polygons using the fill tool. Now, that doesn't work in most instances. Some geometry will fill with the polygon tool, but most will not. Cecked all the settings I can think of, but nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike Borean
  5. I've generated internal elevations using interior elevation tool, which I've used successfully numerous times to date, but time they're seriously slow to update, ie. over 10 minutes for 12 very basic '1:50' level of detail elevations on one sheet. I noticed lighting was turned on, turned that off but hasn't made any difference. Also, have set the view depth box to just outside the elevations. File is quite tidy as I've just been through it and taken lots of complex stuff out. Any advice appreciated...
