  1. Hi, I have been having trouble getting sheet layers to export as shown in the Vectorworks Software. When Exporting as a PDF the fonts seem to be patchy and in both a JPEG and PDF export the drawings seem to be grey looking. This is what the sheet layer looks like on the software: This is what it looks like as a PDF: This is what it looks like as a JPEG: I have made sure that my DPI is 300 and every export is at the maximum quality. Any help would be appriciated
  2. Whenever I produce PDFs of rendered viewports, I export them with no file size reduction and then compress them on iLovePDF.com , because iLovePDF produces superior quality to file-size ratio. It's a pain but it's worth the hassle. To get rid of the hassle part can VW either copy iLovePDF or buy them.
  3. Currently trying to export images of my line drawings for a Design & Access Statement. Using Apple Pages so exporting as JPG/PNG is my best bet for cropping effectively and getting file sizes down. However, I think I have messed about with the settings previously and my image file exports are always blurry or contain thick lines compared to PDF. Is there something wrong with my settings? Thanks. 2210 - Planning Materials 3.pdf

    PDF Quality

Hello everyone, I do not know why when I export a pdf from a sheet layer the quality is horrible lately. I am using VW 2019 on a iMac. What did I touched to change the settings? the sheet layer is at 150pdi and usually is enough, actually for 2D drawings I usually use 72dpi, but since this morning when I export/print a pdf the quality changed. Any suggestions? I have already tried to change the dpi in the sheet layer or the general document settings but nothing happened. new.pdf Original.pdf
  5. Hello, I have difficulty to correctly export/print a sheet with viewports (section viewports) that have same data visualization applied. Some print correct some not. On screen everything looks OK but on exported/printed PDF something goes wrong and some viewports render without DV applied partially or completely. I have tested type of DV settings: one (DV01 - red fills) based on class function and other based on material function (DV02-black solid fill) but no difference. When no DV is applied everything works fine. It looks that viewports that dont export correctly are same for all scenarios... Any idea?
  6. We are testing the hyperlink tool for creating a master index to our office details, each with their own sheet within the same file. When we publish all sheets including the index sheets, all hyperlinks work correctly within a single PDF file by essentially converting the named sheets to bookmarks. Our next step involves posting the master detail PDF to the cloud for access from anywhere. We'd like to be able to click a hyperlink in our construction drawings and open the cloud PDF master detail file, which works fine, but we'd specifically like the cloud PDF to load directly to a specific sheet matching a particular detail, which would be possible if the sheet name was automatically converted to what acrobat refers to as a named destination. A named destination in lieu of a bookmark can be directly referred to in the web address for a particular file, such as www.website.com/detail.pdf#nameddest=TOC. Is it possible to have vectorworks publish a PDF so the sheet names are automatically converted to named destinations recognized by acrobat?
  7. Has anyone else noticed that when doing a batch revision with the Title border on a sheet, only the sheet that is active at the time is updated and you manually have to pick each sheet and select the title border , select the revisions and 'click' on the OK before the 'current revision number' on the sheet is updated? Also, when doing a batch pdf export and selecting the current revision number to be appended - the pdf file is invariably named with 'none' as the suffix and not the revision letter. I am using 2018 SP3 (Build 418943)
  8. It would be useful to have an option in the PDF export that will allow us to only export the cropped part of an image to PDF instead of the entire image as it happens now. Especially with larger images that have been cropped this may considerably reduce the file size of the exported PDF.
