  1. is there a shortcut way of adding (for example) 6" in dimension (could be height, for instance) to a selected group of objects currently located at different heights? I thought there surely is a way to do this, so I tried entering "+6" in the Z field, but it entered 6" for all of the selected objects, which was not what I wanted. i want them to all be shifted up 6" relative to where they were located originally..
  2. The Shape tab, in the Object Info pane, doesn't update unless I toggle between design layers. I can also right click on an object and select "Properties..." to get an updated view of what the shape tab should be displaying. Layer and Class options set to "Show/Snap/Modify Others." Any idea why this could be happening?
  3. I would like the ability to control the length of a polyline without manually extending or trimming it. In the Object Info palette for the polyline down towards the bottom it gives you the perimeter (length) of the polyline. It would be great to have the ability to enter the desired length somewhere down there and choose which end point to extend/trim from just like we do with a normal line. I design septic leach fields and am constantly drawing leach lines to follow contours. It gets tedious trimming each line to an exact length.
  4. Hello, I have received a plot from a designer - however it seems that the designer used record formats, instead of using instruments. Now I know I can convert to an instrument, but this means I lose all information in the record format. Is there a way to do this without losing all information? Short from just having to redo the plot with actual lighting instruments?
