    Crash reports

Could you please ask the boffins if this could be my computer? The specs should be in the crash report. Could it be possible that the MacBook Pro is just not man enough to handle the processing, especially 3d? VW-18 crash2 05-Apr-18.docx VW-18 crash 05-Apr-18.docx
  2. Hi, 2018 keeps driving to a complete unusable halt in my sheet layers after introducing a 3rd or 4th viewport. My drawings are pretty light and are not too complex and only rendering in wireframe (to consider another rendering format is unthinkable) the program then becomes unusable with massive delays, jerky zoom and content disappearing when zoom is halted. The same file in 2017 works fine, is this a known issue with 2018? A quick check on the system shows CPU running @6% and RAM only @ 8gb of 16gb

    Vectorworks now highly unstable

We have six VW seats in our office, and are all finding VW 2017 is becoming very unstable. I am having repeated crashes on my laptop (MacBook Pro running 10.12.3) & iMac (10.12.1). There seems to be no obvious function being used that causes the crash, just a sudden failure, and other users int he office are reporting similar sudden crashes. Also we are having extreme problems with the Object Info palette across all users: - Object Info palette disappears from the screen, even though it is still ticked in the Palettes menu. Unselecting & resecting it does not cause it to reappear. The solution is to quit the problem & restart, leading to several minutes of lost work time as the program restarts. - Object info palette minimises to just the top window bar & cannot be expanded again. There seems to be NO solution to this one. - Object info data disappears (boxes are empty of all object information) & the only way to solve this is to save the drawing, which causes the boxes to re-populate with the information. These repeated problems are making us very nervous about using VW with some of the larger BIM projects we are about to start work on. Is this instability something that is known about?

    vector works 2016

Hi I'm experiencing many problems with vectorworks, it keeps freezing and crashing when ever I open a file. it takes a long time to move line work and the rendering is not working either, it takes too long and produce pixelated images with missing information. What should I do? I never experienced these problems when I used vectorworks 2013! Kind regards BAne
  5. When I open one document it opens fine, but when I try to open a second document it crashes. Is this a known issue? Any fixes? System: Win10 64bit Geforce 980ti
