  1. If you import a PDF – or drag and drop it into a document, you can ungroup that PDF. The ungrouped version contains a raster image, a rectangle for crop and a copy of all vector graphics translated into VW polylines. Prior versions could do the same, but vector curves would not look right. Now they appear to be perfect. So this gives us a safe way to get logos and content from illustrator into VW.
  2. I would like to know how I can insert new standards in the Structural Member category. How do I enter new usages / Member Types / New Shapes? I can not locate in the root of the software where I can put this new information, neither the own settings that comes with VectorWorks. I’m using Vectorworks 2017 SP3
  3. Hello, I am on a Mac, use Illustrator and am able to create custom symbols that I can save as an eps and import into Vectorworks without pixeling or image distortion. I work as part of a team that needs to create custom symbols. Everyone else is on a windows PC and this does not work for them. For these folks, they get an error message that says I either don’t have the correct importer for that file type or I’m out of memory. We've attempted exporting multiple formats or copying/pasting from the clipboard. The files either come in without transparency, are low res, or are pixelated. What's the best way to import a vector image with transparency from a pc into vectorworks?
