Imported PDFs should maintain their names

Referenced PDFs naturally preserver their name & location. Imported PDFs lose both. I'd like the names of imported PDFs to also be preserved. " ditto for imported Images that are not imported as resources -

I hope I'm missing something, as this seems so obvious for so long: Currently the placement of the first dimension is arbitrary so, I'd like to see a setting where dimensions can be placed neatly and consistently with a pre-defined offset from the measured object for the first placement. (see the Dimension Exterior Walls command preference) In fact an editable list of such presets would be a nice update on the single 0.4" shown here. So as an example Offset 1> 12" Offset 2>+8" Offset 3>+6" 4th & subsequent offsets>+4' or whatever you'd like This could then be disabled/enabled on the fly with the Opt/Alt key

There are so many fields, nested fields, tabs & settings in some of the objects that a OIP-wide or Dialogue Box-wide search would be really helpful. One simple example is the Door tool. You know there is a Shim Gap field in one of the 24 tabs but don't remember which one. Generally the more detailled the dialogue is the more helpful this woud be: eg WIndow, VW Preferences, Stair, Video Screen, Soft Goods... It would be nice if holding Alt-and typing the letter would highlight and select the fields, perhaps shortening the OIP or dialogue to just those fields & tab to cycle through them.

Numeric Keypad for OIP Box Position Indicator

I would like the Box Position Indicator to respond to a entry from numeric keypad entry when the mouse is hovering over the OIP and no field is selected, or with a modifier key... 9 anchor points<=> 9 numeric keys This would speed up drawing work. Also there must be a better name out there for the 'box position indicator? Pinboard? Pincushion? AnchorGrid? VertexGrid? AnchorMatrix? AppleStrudle?... anyone?
