Hello. I am drawing a planting plan using landscape areas filled with individual plants (one species per area). I have been working on Vectorworks 2024 and have produced this drawing in that Vectorworks, but I have just upgraded to Vectorworks 2026. I have drawn the whole planting plan choosing the densities of the plants in the landscape areas, but I think some are wrong and it's probably not always consistent across different landscape areas with the same species. So I want to set the densities as a rate /m2 Within each plant style, on the tab Size and Spacing I have set: Spacing to Rate And the Rate to what each plant requires. And on this choice I have set the box to the curved arrow which I believe means that it's an override and cannot be edited?? I was hoping that having done this all the landscape areas would update to the correct rates and densities. But that doesn't seem to have happened. Is there any way I can do this?? Hopefully simply without having to go through every individual landscape area?? Thank you.

Hi all, I need to create a worksheet for local government compliance. In the past I have been doing this manually and I'm over it. In the worksheet I need to show the total number of plants and of that how many are natives and how many are exotics with percentages in the next column. I have been labelling native / exotic in the Comment 1 field of the Plant Style. I also need a total of how many species and the percentage that are native vs exotic. I have tried to work the problem with no solution.... maybe it can't be done. See attached as how I think the layout should look like.

Hi, I'm trying to build a workflow that can create plant symbols from data supplied from a spreadsheet. Since create plant style function is not available, my idea is to duplicate an existing plant symbol then replace the record values. I have customized a node which contains CreateDuplicateObject (to create a duplicate of the original symbol), SetName (to assign a name to the new symbol) and Plant_UpdatedTranslat (to give the new plant symbol a different ID). It seems doing the job. I can see that the symbol has been created, the name and ID have both changed from the Resource Manager preview. But things became strange when I inspect the plant style setting. The duplicate has the exact same name and ID as the original which means the data preview in the resource manager is incorrect. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I suspect some of the plant data cannot be updated by script such as Latin Name, Scheduled Size etc. as the 'Set Record Field' node does not seem to work on tree symbols. If someone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

It used to be that I could populate the plant definition records into a new plant using the “Use Currently Selected Record”. What’s happening now is that I find a plant that matches what I want to use and run that command. None of the plant records fill into the plant style and the placeholders are deleted. Thoughts? Is this a bug?
