  1. Draw a layer plane rectangle. Objects from Shapes. Creates 4 walls, but one corner is not joined. Work around is to start with or convert to a polygon, but why doesn't the rectangle just make the join at all corners? -B
  2. Horsing around with the Create Objects from Shapes >Walls. Source poly (Side 1.) was made with polyline tool: Straight segment on y axis, then Tangent Arc vertices with tangent click on y axis. Side 2. is duplicate, moved over, then direction reversed. The command seems to depend on direction of the source poly. Side 1 funky, Side 2 just right. Known problem/bug? One can delete the walls and reverse the poly(s) and run the command again. Or is there another strategy? Either way, I think the initial direction should not matter. -B
  3. For Create Objects From Shapes - the method for the offset is incredibly counter-intuitive. You have to think if the object is created clockwise around the polygon, and I want the object to be created on the INSIDE edge of the polygon, then I need to select Offset-->Right. If I want it create on the OUTSIDE edge of polygon, I need to select Offset-->Left. So I have to think about it like this: the created object will be on the right side of the polygon. Great! But... kind of unnecessarily confused? Wouldn't it make more sense to simply call the offsets literally "Inside" and "Outside"? Barring that, having a tool tip explaining what each Offset type is (I.e., "Selecting an offset of Right will put your created object to the right of the polygon edge, or on the inside edge of the polygon")
