    Euler Angles

Hello everyone I'm looking for a network that can output the resulting vertices in 3D: Given are: - Starting point 3D - segment lengths - segment angle a,b,y So far I've thought of trigonometry, but failed so far. One approach could also be the Euler angles. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eulersche_Winkel Has anyone had any experience with the formulas? Thank you for your help
  2. Hi all, Our IT support team have posted about this already with no response, so I'm going to try again with a little more detail. We have 7 iMacs, OSX 10.12.6, running Vectorworks 2017, SP5, and previously all files were accessed over a local network from a Mac Server. We were having intermittent issues with file access permissions that we could never quite resolve on all machines at once, so we took the plunge and have switched to Windows 2016 server. Using the latest SMB protocols we find that all vwx files located on the server are marked as "read only". The issue is exclusive to vwx files; all other file types have full read and write access, so that would appear to rule out this being a permissions problem. As a temporary measure we have switched to SMB1 protocol for file access, however this is very slow and we are now having regular vectorworks crashes, for no consistent reason that we can isolate, but has only started happening since the switch. Obviously we have invested a lot in switching to a Windows Server in the hope it would improve speed and stability; so far it's only made things worse. Does anyone have a similar setup (Mac workstations with Windows server)? And/or has anyone encountered this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks all
  3. Thanks again to Dom C for the great workshop upon Marionette , that I attended in march. Now , weeks later , trying to pick up the thread, trying to redo an exercise builiding a network for an easy table. Desperate, that I messed it up, and I don`t unerstand ,why debugging doesn`t work any more, as soon as the offset data are connected to the move node?! And I don`t get any result. Maybe someone can s.m.s. (save my soul). Friendly regards Bernd L. 2017_04_23_Table_Marionette_Workshop_Test.vwx
  4. morning all, We have recently purchased a 6 seat network licence for us. I have the licence server working fine but we wish to install VW2017 on the terminal server. we have around 25 users on teh server but wish to restrict access to the VW license to specific users (so the pool isnt used up and hogged). does anyone know if this is possible through wither the licence server or through windows (server 2008 currently, upgrading to 2012 dec/jan). the licence server is on a stand alone PC, so not trying to install this on the server, just user access to the program/licence when using the temrinal server. TIA! H
