Who has time for this? It appears that in the shuttling of data between virgin LW6 and made-in-2022 plot that data is being corrupted: Entire (but not every) electrics of lighting devices have suddenly become static accessories. They retain at least some of the fixture data but they're NO LONGER LIGHTS. There goes a couple hours of work lost and certainly another to rebuild. Any product trust I may have retained has been corrupted by that data loss. Easy-peasy fix anyone? I have attached a couple screenshots showing the diff between the backup file from 2 hours ago and from the current file. I suppose it might be best to delete the problem units & copy | paste-in-place the backups from the latest still Lights file, eh? Let me go do that research now.

In VWX 21 my plot contains all relevant data. When exported to LW6 latest stable release, all data except instrument type is imported. What's up with that I wonder (& I can't wait to field the call from the Ltg Sup who's opening that package right about now…) All thoughts, ideas, notions, hacks, workarounds, etc gladly accepted.

There should be a way for the cable tools to drop the info for a jumper into it's associated fixture. For example, if I am using the "Assign Multicable Circuits" tool it is already assigning circuit name, circuit number, as well as dropping a cable into the drawing based on your settings. There currently is no setting or way to have that cable input into a field in the fixture. So in addition to assigning circuit name and number it would also put "5' L6-20" into a "Jumper" field or "10' 5pin DMX" into a "Data" field. This would allow cable fields to be exported to Lightwright 6 which I think would make managing the cable info created in Vectorworks much easier.
