I would like to be able to add various other types of instruments to the instrument summary for final presentation. As you can see from the image attached I have got as far as adding a truss symbol into the summary by attaching a light info record to the 2D symbol which has then meant it has appeared in the build list. However, whilst this is great, i'm struggling in getting the count working properly. Please can someone advise on how to get this working? I've tried altering many parameters in the light info record but i'm unsure as to what data the software uses to calculate the "count". Many thanks Dan

Hey there. So I'm working in VW2019, SP2 and I've had this crazy glitch happen. It seems now that while I've built all my lights correctly (I did this years ago and they've always worked fine before), with Light Info Records, etc. now when I click on the data tab in the OIP the Light Info Record isn't listed there anymore. Is that something that I'm just noticing now, or has that always been the case? When I look at a symbol that isn't a light the data tab shows the Light Info Record. Am I crazy? Have they just always folded themselves into the Lighting Instrument Data on the Shape tab?

Over the past year I have added several custom fields attached to my lighting instrument symbols, including device modes, wattage calc for worksheets, etc.. As the workflow in our office continues to grow and evolve I find myself going back to batch add/update fields in frequently used symbols. The 'Lighting Symbol Maintenance' window is very useful for the simple tweaks such as Instrument Type name, wattage, etc.. and i'm looking for a method of updating along these lines, that could include my custom fields. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if this has come up before, but I would love to see a change to the way fixtures with zoom ranges are handled. Right now we can only input the x and y beam and field spreads for a fixture, but we cannot designate a smallest zoom size and largest zoom size. I cannot tell Vectorworks that my Source Four 25-50 zoom fixture has a minimum field size of 25 degrees and a max of 50, then when I place the fixture choose where in that zoom range I want the beam size set. Ideally VW would also do the basic math on the Candlepower and be able to do the math on the inverse square calculations of what happens to beam intensity when you flood. Thoughts?
