Good morning folks, I'm having a weird issue with VW 2025. I've setup my grid lines on their own layer (my usual practice) and then turn that layer on in my plan / section / elevation viewports so the instances of the GLs show up. Everything works great until, for some reason, it doesn't. Randomly, one type of viewport will stop displaying the grid line instances. Either a few or all of the plan VPs, section VPs or elevation VPs will be affected but never a mixing of VP types. Digging further into it, when I select the GL on the DL and check "Grid Line Instances..." in the OIP they're turned off for the affected VPs. This is odd because I've never turned off the instances for these VPs. This is happening between sessions. They're in the VPs when I save and close for the day, then they're missing when I open the file the next morning. It's random and doesn't happen every time. I can make them visible again if I turn the grid DL off and on again but then all my adjustments of the GL instances reset and the dimensions tied to them goes funky. Sometimes saving and closing the file brings them back, but then they might disappear from another VP... Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or is it a bug with the file? I'm trying to remember if I've encountered this before in other files but I can't for the life of me remember if I have or if this is just unique to this particular project. It's been incredibly frustrating as every time I need to publish a drawing set, I'm having to triple check that all the gridlines are visible. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks folks, I'm looking forward to the day when I know enough to contribute to answering questions instead of just posting them! - Dylan

Snap Grid - major and minor lines
Ross McLee posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
Hi! Is it possible to have different line weights in the snap to grid, lines? I see you can have a snap grid and reference grid - Is there any way these can be made visible at the same time? When creating ConnectCAD schematics for example. I have a 4x4 unit snap grid but I like to space may components out on say a 8 unit grid. The 16x616 grid just needs to be shown in a slightly heavier line weight. In AutoCAD I think they refer to this as a 'major' grid line. @Conrad Preenbeing able to 'force' snapping of ConnectCAD devices to the major grid would be a handy feature to speed the laying out of devices uniformly (horizontally primarily, not so sure about vertical though! Thanks, R-

Transferring lengths or Grid Lines and positions of bubbles?
Christiaan posted a question in Troubleshooting
I have a bunch of floor plans that are a different scale to my original Grid Lines layer, so when I turn on Grid Lines for those viewports the Grid Lines are not where I want them to be. Is there a way to transfer the lengths of Grid Lines and positions of bubbles across viewports? Or do I have to manually drag every single one on them on every viewport? -
How do you control instance visibility of Grid Lines in a Workgroup Reference file (using Layer Import mode)? The Help files don't mention this scenario: https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2021/eng/VW2021_Guide/Annotation/Grid_line_instance_visibility_in_viewports.htm Seems to me the only way is to create a design layer in the WGR file and add the Grid Lines to that (rather than referencing them from the model file). Not the end of the world but a bit of a pain because then I have two sets of Grid Lines I need to keep up to date.
