  1. Hi I have a column with decimal values representing power consumption, in watts. In the next column I would like to know how many of my 600w power supply units I have to allocate. So I need to round up, but I cannot seem to make it work, it just writes out the formula indicating that something is not right. =ROUND(F2/600, 1) works , but rounds anything under 600 to zero. the worksheet function is documented as follows: roundup(number, digits) Rounds the specified number up to a specified number of decimal digits. =roundup(2.345, 2) returns 2.35 If I use the formula from the example, I get the same result, it just writes out the formula Any ideas? Cheers F
  2. To multiply, the formula should be =SUM(cell1*cell2) but when I press enter, nothing happens How do I properly multiply two cells in a Vectorworks worksheet? To add, the formula should be =SUM(cell1,cell2), when I do that it works
  3. I'm working on a door worksheet, and I wonder if there is some formula to count L&R Doors. I assigned a custom record to each door, with boolean parameters (one for left and other for right). Now my worksheet do the work, but I think it can improve avoiding repeated information. Perhaps I can use the function =count, with the conditional If for the record, something like this: =COUNT (If record is 'carpinterias' and value 'izquierda' is true). Is that possible? thanks in advance.
  4. Does anyone know how to use a formula in the 'formula' field in the Space Setting Additional Data section? (Vectorworks support didn't know, but the help manual says that is what it is for). My goal is perform a calculation of number of occupants (=#Gross Area#/#AreaPerOccupant#), to then report on a data tag. However, whatever I put in the formula field just shows up as text when reported... (Attached is a sample file in 2019). Any suggestion of how to solve this, or other ways to get the number of occupants to show up on the data tag would be very much appreciated! Occupancy Data Tag.vwx
  5. Hi, I wonder if anyone knows who are the best way to get the height from a solid. I'm working on a single house in a sloped terrain, their wooden posts have different heights but with a standard notched end. The Issue begins when I try to get the heights from those "solid subtractions" on the worksheets. Normally I use the "framing member tool" to get those dimensions correctly, but in this case I've to make an extra operation because the notch. I've tried to convert them in other kind of objects like "generic solid", or "extrude along path" without success, I suppose there may be a formula or something that allows me to get the dimensions I need. Thanks!
  6. I'm just learning about worksheets and have learned a lot on the forum. But i can't seem to find an answer to a very basic procedure. I'm creating a Door schedule and have used the User Field 1 in each of the doors for the price. With ='Door'.'UserFld1' placed in the worksheet database header, each of the database subrows have the correct price and have been formatted with decimal and the leader $. But the database header row only shows the number of doors with a dollar sign in front. How would i show the total price of all the doors in the last cell of the column? Is there a better way to do this that i'm missing?
