All, What is happening with VW on the AI front? I would love to see some ability to input wall dimensions and/or ceiling heights into a dialog box, and have VW automatically render the basic shell. Leaving the designer more time to focus on the deeper design methodologies. Also, if someone can expound on what Nemetschek or Vectorworks plans are to add AI functionality into the future versions of VW, I would love to see the roadmap. It truly is amazing that AI is here, and I think it will all make our lives easier. Would love to here others thoughts on this. - Ryan

In V 2017 I see some Improvements that weren't mentioned anywhere, that solve nasty problems. 1. Starting V in docked palettes mode without a file (OS X) V 2017 does no more start with floating overlapping palettes when "start with blank file" deactivated. As I don't want to open V with a blank file at each start, that will annoy asking for saving after some minutes, I prefer to open V without any new file. This had the risk of of loosing your docked palette positions when you finally open a file. Therefore I started V by a double click on a file in Finder only. Second, if you use OS X Spaces, a click on the V dock icon would not bring you to the space assigned to V, as long as there is no file open. Mission Control was needed. Now V 2017 starts with a complete App Window and final palette docking. For the first time it is possible to securely start V from the dock icon again or even jump back to the V OS X Space* with one click. For me that is great. *Edit : Switch to Space works great but it seems not to activate the App:. So when you Menu > File > open, you are still in active Finder App.

Could we have a Sticky Topic with comprehensive info about vwx features and history or at least links to the info? This would be useful for troublshooting, maybe also as sales tool when potential buyers explore the forum. Several formats: Standard feature chart for each version with industry module indicators (these already exist). Searchable by version. Comparison search displaying side by side feature sets of 2 or 3 versions. Text search field for individual feature history. Search result is list of versions in which feature is included. eg search “Text Style”. Result will be v2017, 2016, 2015 (my guess) with industry module indicators. A scrolling product history/timeline could be fun, showing major changes such as ownership, HQ location, price history, render engine change (v2010?), OGL engine change (2015?), etc. Other? -B
