This is what the elevation is supposed to look like. Screenshotted form the PDF last time I issued the drawing. I opening this drawing again today made some minor changes to road in an unrelated part of the project and this is what it looks like now with thick black seam line incorrectly shown between the ground and first floor. I've spent all morning trying things like moving walls around and various other tricks to try and get it to recognise that it's the same material in the same plane and it hasn't worked. I would have been quicker redrawing these in 2D now. Stuff like this happens on every other project. I've seen this elevation merge materials fail bug so many times now and it always shows up half way through a project when everything has been working perfectly previously. So frustrating.
I have been trying to curve a complicated extruded object by using the 3D deform tool, however, when I try to use it the tool won't even acknowledge the object, but it will with more simple shapes. Is there a reason why this is and is there a way I can get it to respond to my complicated extrude or is there at least another method I could use to curve my object? I've attached an image of what object I'm trying to curve.
I've been working on a 3D project which requires a few curved walls that are cut out shapes not just solid objects. I used the 3D deform tool for one and it worked great, but now I'm trying to use it again on another wall and it has been failing. This wall is a more complicated shape, but I made it the same way I made the others, so I see no reason why the deform tool shouldn't work with it. Does anyone know why the tool might not work now, and how I can fix my object to be more compatible with the deform tool?
