  1. Hi. After update to VW2024, i'm not able to use find and modify at all. It's just keep crashes, and close it's self without any waring. I have done a reinstall of the software without any luck. My coworker @Stefan B. dont have this issue. Any suggestions? findandmodifycrash.mp4
  2. Hi all, I am remodelling some LED panel as the STP imports were too heavy to work with. I have modelled the important bits(mounting points) and ignore the rest. The last bit of this remodelling process was to create auto hybrids for all these objects My VW 23 and VW 22 is crashing when creating some of the auto hybrids in my file. Somome of the solid addition auto hybrid is created without any issues. The attached file has 5 auto hybrids and 5 that crashes. Hope there is someone kind enough to take a look and let me know whats wrong. URMIII Model.vwx
  3. Hello, I am experiencing an issue where Vectorworks 2020 constantly crashes (i.e. "Quits Unexpectedly") when I go to open one particular file that was created by my co-worker in Vectorworks 2017. I am able to open and convert the file in Vectorworks 2019 with no problem, however, for use of the file in the future by my other co-workers and I it would be beneficial if I can get a copy of this file working in Vectorworks 2020. The file largely consists of 2D elements and plug-in objects for lighting instruments. When opening this file in Vectorworks 2020, it will begin the conversion process, but will consistently crash on "Step 4 of 11 (Updating Plugin Objects...)" during the "Creating Auto Hybrid" process. I have searched this problem on this form and found people having similar issues, but none of the suggestions I have tried has resolved the issue for me. What I have attempted: Setting Navigation Graphics to Best Compatibility in display preferences Updating the Vectorworks 2017 source file to Vectorworks 2019 and then trying to open that one in Vectorworks 2020 Back-Exporting the new Vectorworks 2019 file to a Vectorworks 2018 file and trying to open that on in Vectorworks 2020 (since I read that Vectorworks is having some difficulty with files going from 2019 to 2020 specifically) Purging most unused resources, including but not limited to gradients, line types, symbols, and text styles, in the Vectorworks 2019 file and then trying to open it in Vectorworks 2020. (I would have done this in the source 2017 file, but I only have Vectorworks 2016, 2019, and 2020 on my computer and am not keen on downloading 2017 or 2018 at this time) Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I will list my at-home computer specs below (I am currently teleworking), but this issue also presented itself to my co-worker who has a different computer, whose specs I am not privy to at this time. Therefore, I am fairly confident that this is a software, not a hardware, issue. MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Thank you for your time.
  4. I just asked this in another thread, but it might be worth a new one. I just updated to 2020 Architect, this morning, from 2019. I thought it had to do with a faulty installation, but I can open some files but not the one I needed to work on. It crashes while opening - it says 82% generating Resource previews, then it shuts down. repeatedly. I tried the suggestion in the other thread to set navigation graphics to "best compatibility", no luck. also, should I delete VW2019? my system: wdws 10pro - 1809 intel corei7-4770 cpu @3.40ghz 16.0 GB RAM 64bit os x-64-based processor thanks
  5. We have six VW seats in our office, and are all finding VW 2017 is becoming very unstable. I am having repeated crashes on my laptop (MacBook Pro running 10.12.3) & iMac (10.12.1). There seems to be no obvious function being used that causes the crash, just a sudden failure, and other users int he office are reporting similar sudden crashes. Also we are having extreme problems with the Object Info palette across all users: - Object Info palette disappears from the screen, even though it is still ticked in the Palettes menu. Unselecting & resecting it does not cause it to reappear. The solution is to quit the problem & restart, leading to several minutes of lost work time as the program restarts. - Object info palette minimises to just the top window bar & cannot be expanded again. There seems to be NO solution to this one. - Object info data disappears (boxes are empty of all object information) & the only way to solve this is to save the drawing, which causes the boxes to re-populate with the information. These repeated problems are making us very nervous about using VW with some of the larger BIM projects we are about to start work on. Is this instability something that is known about?
  6. When I open one document it opens fine, but when I try to open a second document it crashes. Is this a known issue? Any fixes? System: Win10 64bit Geforce 980ti
