'Proposed Contours' not working as expected in Site Model
nicovlogg posted a question in Troubleshooting
Hi all, I'm working with the 3D site model tools for the first time. I've gone through tutorials pretty extensively but haven't been able to find a solution to this issue. I have an existing site model, provided by the client. I'm attempting to model some new berms and swales on this model. When I add these in 'Proposed Contours', the model does not change. My view is set to show 'proposed' so it's not a phasing issue. Would appreciate any help. I can use the 'validate 3D data' tool and get an error, but there is nothing useful about a message that says 'something is wrong' - I need to know what it is. There are no overlapping lines that I can find. Existing contours Proposed contours - new in pink- 12 replies

I've had this appear about as often as not. When attempting to grade across an object, random elements from the existing grade seem to override modifiers? I've tried to create 3D polys between the contours but these just regenerate around anything I try to do to "fix" them. Red are my site modifiers, generally going well...

Hello. I have a road poly going down a slope. There is a pad modifier at the bottom of the road and the grade limit is set to the property boundary. I added a nurbs curve to the top edge of the road for finished grade at the road edge. 3D view shows to be accurate (top of paving = to adjacent grade). The contour lines however are not following the top of paving, instead they are following the 'cut' below the road on the DTM. While this is accurate for the cut, it is not accurate in terms of a site plan. Is there any workaround for this? See attached screenshot.

Why my proposed site model is not rendering the text over the mayor contours? Also, can not figure why the proposed contour is not overlaid over the existing model. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ro2ke5nzk1dqqh0/Hacienda_Delfines.vwx?dl=0
